Action News Atlanta just didn't get it.

Family's Punching Bag Holds Smelly Surprise: Man Says Bag Filled With Underwear
The short of this article is that a family ordered a punching bag and found, much to their surpirse that it was filled entirely with underwear, mostly dirty. "(There were) bras, thongs and bathing suits. We could not believe there were clothes inside instead of sand,"

In Japan this punching bag would be worth like three trillion yen.

Amusing exerpt:
The representative told him that the underwear in the bag was a "quality problem" that they were dealing with, and that the people who had made the decision to put underwear in the bags had been fired.

But why?! Why, Action News Atlanta???!! Why would they use dirty undies instead of sand!? Where does one buy enough dirty undies to fill multiple punching bags, the dirty underwear depot??!

I'm just so dissappointed in you, Action News Atlanta. Way to drop the ball.

While I admire the outrage, it is pointed at the wrong place. You should be rallying against Channel Cincinnati since it is their report's poor reporting that has you up in arms. link to original story

I originally decided to comment on this because I felt it represented a pet peeve of mine. I hate that more and more news outlets are using subscription news versus gathering there own. But on further research I discovered that Internet Broadcasting(sm) is actually a service that allowed local news agencies to share information with other local agencies in other regions. I currently find approval of this model, but I am afraid to look any deeper for fear of discovering links to Nazi Germany.

I'd be more interested if your comment involved more dirty underwear and less actual research.

Thanks, now my blog will definitely come up under a google search for underwear fetishes.

*sigh*

Ok, so let me say that another way.

Why... must the underwear be dirty for you to want to hear about it? Are you just looking for dirty laundry stories in general, or is it something about the item in question?

I fear you came back from Japan with a horrible mental issue.

Also, Paul, nice way to Godwin yourself. I'm amused.

It is a very strange feeling when a pop culture/internet phrase completely misses my radar.

Cym, I bow to your awesomeness.

And Q, you must stop postings/comments that encourage research. From now on only stories about nature attacks.

In my defense I just wanted to know more about these mystery underwear.
