Environmental concern not as strong as survival instinct.

So I’ve been very interested in this whole riding my bike to work thing and inquiring to other cyclists as to what that is like.

In short, it is like being hit by a car.

Every person I’ve asked about commuting by bike, no matter how long or short their commute is, has been hit by a car.

So in as much as I care about polar bears and hate to think of them treading water, I hate to think about getting run over ever so much more.

I think that my bicycle daydream is over.
