I'm a little obsessed with sea creatures. I also am scared of drowning, being stung, etc. etc. (You know, sea creaturey things.
There is video at io9 of a rare (and creepy) Magnapinna. I've never heard of such a thing, but it is a [terrifying] squid.

Yeah. Gonna need a lot of aoili, though.
You know, it's just a matter of time before we find Deep Ones or mighty Cthulhu hiding in the oceans somewhere.
That is why I do not eat seafood.
